I downloaded a Darius song the other day and to be honest, it sounded just like i expected.
Just like everything else on pop radio today.
So if I may ask, what is so special about DD?

Well, I, being a long-standing fan, have had the opportunity to hear a lot more music by Darius!
I will admit to you that when I first heard Colourblind, I wasn't overly impressed either! So there you have it, but it does grow on you!
His acoustic version of it is FANTASTIC...if you saw that, you'd see the talent shine so bright, it may blind!
Also, he's overcome a lot of animosity to get where he is, and has become successful and respected as a singer/songwriter, his lifelong ambition, in the face of adversity!
In addition, there are tracks that he sang on TV shows, and at concerts, that are beautiful...that one song doesn't show you everything he's got by any means!
His voice has more of an impact when it is live, too....his single, of course, is not! Faffed about with, etc...give me acoustic any day!
So, there's a few reasons! Pick your fave. Lol. I hope the tone of this post sounds friendly, because it is! I always worry about how tone is perceived on the net..it's so easy to be misunderstood! Anyway, there's your answer!

i think that music is very important.
i think that music is the one common ground
between various peoples... language being a
distant second.
music (to me) has the sole power of reminding
us of things we wish to remember... things that
no other force can control.
for instance, a single song can generate multiple
similar feelings between various people (like
a national anthem, for example) and/or it has
the ability to segregate between individuals
based on situation or taste.
the bottom line is, most people today tend to
fancy music simply because of its magic...
that unknown, indescribable force that reminds
us that, without it, the world (and out lives)
just wouldn't be so special.
(zela... i KNOW what you are thinking )
